Loud humming from basement center coach.

New 2019 DSDP and noticed a loud low humming from the center basement t gc at can be heard in the coach. Not the oasis. The humm stops when the main coach switch is shut off but not the circuit breakers. This is my 2nd DSDP and no noise in the first. Any ideas?

The 2019's went with the Intervac central vac, they have a switch on the unit outside to use it outside if you want. Mine is 3rd compartment from front door.Just a thought.

My guess would be the Inverter. Have you switched it off, independently of the Main?

Next guess would be only if you were on shore-power; the Transfer switch.

Let us know.

I agree, the inverter is loud enough to be heard in a silent coach. The other hum I have heard is the oasis when running, and the autofill will generate a hum while filling the tanks. This is a hum from the water lines.

I always thought it was the Oasis electric elements.

When I was installing the preheat pump, I noticed the summer loop pump running does create a hum. I added some anti vibration padding and the hum was eliminated. Didn't take much.

All I used was scrap 3/4in heater hose.

If you turn on the oil burner and the hum goes away after a short while, it is the summer loop pump. I changed my summer loop pump motor and the new pump was louder than the old pump.

The other thing you can check is to make sure the bypass switch for the Oasis is off. If this was on all three pumps would be running.

My coach, which is in storage, was making a louder than normal hum the other day. I opened the electrical reel compartment and noticed it was the transfer switch. I unplugged the coach and plugged it back in. The noise was not as loud and more the normal sound.

I'm guessing the transfer switch/surge suppressor but with the shore power off still noisy.

How did you install the scrap hose? On mine the summer loop pump is just being supported by the hoses in free air.

Also, is the heater hose 3/4 inch? I'd like to buy some spare hose and clamps.

Thank you.

The red hose for the Oasis functions is 1/2" ID hose. The engine coolant hose is 3/4" ID.

When installing the preheat pump I purchased 1ft of 3/4" hose, and only needed 4 inches. I cut the extra in 4 pieces, and used a zip tie to hold it on two sides of the 2 pumps that were loose. This prevented the vibration.
