Loud POP Bedroom Slide
After washing Coach yesterday i went to put the BRoom slide back out and just before it went all the way out I heard a very loud POP!!! Slide is out and in correct position just wondering where do i start looking? Does this have something to do with motor located under bed? Any help would be great, thankfully we are here for another few weeks. Thanks in advance

The first thing I would check is the slide motor under the bed. Check the motor mounting bolts for tightness.

Also check the two steel plates with the holes for wheel that attaches to the slide motor shaft. This plate attaches to the bottom of the slide. When I heard the "pop" on my kitchen slide, the heads of the screws that hold the steel plate to the bottom of the slide had sheared off.
I think there is a recent post about the slide plate here on IRV2 or the DS Facebook page, but I can't find it right now.

As previous 2 posters have said- raise your bed & check the slide out motor Hex Hd. cap screws for tightness- access them by removing the the 2 removable panels under the bed storage area. If cap screws are loose- remove each one & coat lower 1/2" of threads on cap screws with Blue series Locktite thread lock compound & re-install them - tighten good & tight-35 ft lbs of torque .
The other thing to check as mentioned above is the cog drive steel plates on the bottom of the slide. Inspect the obround holes to see if they show signs of elongation on either one? Slight or moderate elongation is an indicator of slide misalignment and indicate the two drive cogs are out of sync! This can be adjusted by the slide drive controller - see manual or call Newmar to get a copy of recalibration procedure. Check to see if all attachment screws are tight & no heads are broken off? If you need to replace any of them- use a self drilling flat head stainless steel #10 X 1"- if I remember right. The reason to use stainless screws is two fold-a) it has over 2X the tensile strength of mild steel- won't shear off as easily-of grade 2 screws b) it is corrosion resistant & won't rust.

On the bedroom slide, is there one or two motors? I thought there was only one, so once again, I find myself confused.

I think your 43' models are the same as my 40' for the bedroom slide. Only one motor so no need to sync them. But...the in and out stop points for the motor would need to be checked and adjusted. Not sure how to do that on the single motor???
Kitchen slide has two motors and would require a re-sync, but not the bedroom. BTW. The re-sync is a very easy process.

Winepress- I'm sorry I confused you- the bedroom slide has only 1 drive motor- the shaft has a drive cog sprocket on each end- I'm not sure you can field sync them unless it's through the torque couplings on each side of the drive motor?
First inspect the cog sprocket drive plates on the bottom of the slide. I added 4 additional screws to each plate by drilling new holes & counter sinking them. Since doing this & using stainless steel screws, I've had 0 issues!
