LP cutoff switch on controle panel 01 DS

Can any one tell me what the LP cutoff switch actually does? I assumed it cut off the propane to the RV but I don't see any wires at the tank except for the level indicator? I flipped the switch but the cook top still burns and won't run out of fuel. Also where is it fused if it's an electric cutoff valve/ solinoid?

My 99 , the switch is to cut power to the LP leak detector only. The detector is not wired through the battery cut off , so would stay on continually in long term storage.
An LP shut off solenoid is mostly used in coaches where the service valve on the tank is not easily accessible.

All it does is shut off the monitor.

that's what i thought.

Thanks guy's, that's what I thought it did. So I turned it on and I don't have 12 volts to the wires feeding the detector/monitor. Got any Idea where the power is fused from. It isn't in the bedroom 12 volt fuse panel like my owners book says and it's not marked in the dash fuse panel in front of the steering wheel.
