Luxury coach cabinet question

The two cabinets above my driver side window are empty except for silver insulation is this normal or should they be occupied with something.

Sorry the cabinet are not actually in the picture but you will know what I'm referencing.

Mine has finished wood all on the inside. Any chance the prior owner added insulation on top of the finished wood. When I say finished wood it is not the same as the outside finish.

Ours are finished wood cabinets, no insulation is visible.

I'm not sure what is behind the insulation, but I will check. On your KA are they just empty storage cabinets?

Thanks for the photo. I'll have to see what is behind the insulation.
