Magna Shade Install - Easy
We have had our Magna Shade for over a week but wanted to wait and install it on the "perfect" weather day.
Read the directions, watched the video, pulled the 8' stepladder out, and 30 minutes later it was a done deal. We still have to peel the tape off the interior magnets tomorrow and reset them but this install was easypeasy!
They make a quality product that should really help with the heat. Of course we have zero 90 degree days coming up now.

Be careful peeling the tape as the adhesive on the magnet may try peeling also...I also added a little clear rtv around the bottom of the magnet for a little insurance after install of them.

I too did my own install. Very simple.
Tomorrow I get to Uninstall the windshield. I will post up tips related to this. I have to get a new windshield, so I need to save the magnets.

I wonder if it would be better to just get replacements from Magna Shade. I suppose you could clean all the adhesive off and try some new 3m double sided to re-apply your old magnets.
I'll also be following to see how this works out. I is not a question of if I will get another broken windshield it is a question of when.

I was impressed that once we had two of the top magnets in place it held the whole shade up for the initial install. Video is great and explains everything.

I've uninstalled before. Putty knife works well. Also they will send you adhesive disks if you need them. Might want some just in case.

We too installed our Magna Shades ourselves. Watched installation video and now fully understand the warnings with those very strong magnets. Almost got the dreaded blood blister when two magnets popped together. I was warned! It took more time to scrape off the paper covering on magnets , than to install the whole thing. It was easy and we had no fights during this team installation!

This morning while putting away my new Magna Shade cover and two extra magnets I found a bag of extra adhesive disks they had included in the original package. Didn't see them before. That is nice Magna Shade prepares you for your first broken windshield.

I just removed the magnets. Using a chiseled 1.5" putty knife made it very very easy. It helped that I was not worried about harming the windshield, but that was a non issue.
