Magne Shade

We bought our DS 4318 at the end of May and have been in it a total of 4 weeks. We've redone the storage twice both inside and out. We use the coach for both business and pleasure, being Texas based in the summer isn't a lot of fun.

Our first park we faced the NE and all was wonderful the 3 A/C's did a marvelous job of keeping us cool so much so my wife complained about how cold it was. Them we moved and at every single park we ended up facing the SW.

There was at least a 10 degree difference in temperature from front to back and it wasn't comfortable upfront anymore.

Started doing research here and several other places and found Magne Shade. I placed my order yesterday for the entire front end, hopefully they will make the difference everyone said they did for them.

Also make sure you follow the suggestions in the recent thread: http://www.irv2.com/forums/f103/tips...er-450321.html

If the fans are all on high I would expect it to keep the temp closer between the front and back.

We are next door in Louisiana. The best purchase we have made for our coach to date. We covered the front windshield, the entire drivers side window the front door and window directly beside the wife’s seat. They just work.....

We just traded in our old non-Newmar coach and had shades for it. We will be special ordering new customs for the new Newmar. They do work!

Since the MagneShade stops the heat before it gets inside (i.e. MCD & such) , you'll find you're able to keep your coach much cooler with less effort.

Anyone know how the Magne Shades compare to the snap on shades that Newmar makes? I am asking in terms of heat reduction/efficiency.

I've never seen the Magne Shades in person but they appear to be more opaque than the Newmar shades.

Magne Shade. We wouldn’t leave home without it. We’re in Southwestern Va. this week and it’s 92-94 degrees. Im certain our CS is staying cool thanks in part to our Magne Shade. Whenever we switch coaches, one of our first accessories will be a Magne Shade.

They have been at everyone for at least the last 5 years and will be there this year. https://magneshade.com/calendar/

I had my first set of shades on my previous coach installed at the WV rally by them.

You will need to order them in advance and they will bring it to the rally in install.

We agree with all the positive responses. We are very happy with ours. We are planning to get the other windows on the driver side covered.

We bought a set in Quartzite. They are great. Pricy, but they sure help with the heat.
