Main TV removal

Another question from a newbie:

2004 Dutch Star 4010: How the heck do you remove the TV set to update? I see nowhere to remove cabinet, etc.
I thank you in advance

Your TV most likely has a front frame made of wood. On that frame there should be some wood "plugs". Pry them out with a sharp object, they should reveal the screws. It's also possible the screws were put in from the side, check there too.

The finished surround for box maybe held in box by screws from inside cabinets both sides of TV.
You may also have plugs under box holding in TV.
In Quick Tips there are about 4 conversions in different coach's the may help also.

I just did mine this past year. Put in a 32" Samsung. The wood frame came out by removing the plugs on the bottom front of the cabinet, (covered in plastic) Mounted on the surface of the original cabinet. Used a regular moveable wall mount after building a frame inside cabinet. I wanted to have access to rear of TV. Rigged up some bracing for travel.

I have the same model Dutch Star.

The not so obivius screws to remove the bezel are located inside the cabinet above the dirvers seat and inside the cabinet on the other side of the coach where the you tank monitor and wahter heater switches are located.

The screws are long and screw into the bezel on the front of the TV. Once you remove these screws and the ones under the plastic plugs on the bottom of the TV the bezel will come out. You then have easy access to remove the TV

I installed a 32 inch Samsung also. It made for a nice installation and I got rid of a lot of weight from the Sony TV

Good Luck
