We have just traded a Monaco Diplomat for a 4508 Essex. The Monaco had excellent documentation written, by the company as well as all the little brocuhures for accessories. They also had complete wiring schematics for that particular coach. As I recall the Monaco book had something like 12 sections covering each aspect of the coach and totalled approx. 300 pages. This was our first coach so it set a certain expection as to documentation.

We never thought to look at the documentation that would come with the Essex. When we asked, we were shown two large cases. We assumed they contained documentation at least as good as we had had.

After delivery we find these cases only contain whatever the appliance vendor provided to Newmar. Many times it's generic and not specific to our coach. The only thing actually written by Newmar are 2 or 3 pages of cheat sheets to help with the jacks etc. While these 3 pages are great, there are many things that I have questions about that aren't answered.

What is the level of documentation other folks have received with their Newmar's? Is it possible we are missing something?

Sounds like you got the same 2 cases filled with mostly non specific info that we received with our 2005 Essex. 1 1/2 years ago I was told that they were going to work on it. hmmm.

Also recently I was unhappy to hear that they still attach the plastic fuel and brake filter cover with the same two knurled knobs that are prone to fail.

You should have recieved a CD with all the info about the Essex product. It is not not just for your coach but covers most of the info on the Esex product line

Were the cd's in the black cases? Cd's are a difficult way to solve problems on the coach, but better than nothing. If we can't find them, perhaps we can beg for one at the rally!

The CD for the '07 Essex is not complete yet as there were so many changes to the '07. It will be sent out, I understand, when it is ready.

Welcome to irv2 T R McEvoy thanks for that info.
What year was your ESSEX again
With all the new ESSEX I'm going to have to take a inventory pretty soon.
