MCD Driver Shade Broken

My driver window night shade has come unattached see picture. Aluminum roller will not go back on black piece. Any suggestions how to move or reattach? Luckily it is high enough not to interfere with driving. Thanks in advance .Click image for larger version

Watch this video and see if it makes sense to you. Ends are keyed and can only go in one way.

You'll need to pull it down, turn the black piece until it goes back in place (keyed like stated above) and then reattach the shade to the roller with some strong tape. When you reinstall, make sure the shade is wound all the up on the roller. Once back in place, you'll most likely have to readjust the length and speed of the shade via the rollers on each side.

Thank you. We were able to get it reattached, but could only get it to hook in 2 of the 3 clips. I ended up calling Newmar and they got me an appointment with Mark with Newserv the Newmar mobile unit in Florida. The clips were miasligned so he repositioned them. We will need a new shade unfortunately. I highly recommend Mark with Newserv.

Just a side note....the screw hole on the clips are slotted, so you can adjust them when there are more than two and need to be lined up. Each MCD manual shade uses the same internal tube components that control the shade. Because there are short and long shades, those internal components come in four lengths. They're fairly inexpensive. I keep one of each length as a spare. A couple I got as free spares from MCD.
