Mcd shade

I have a problem with a manual MCD shade, called the company both MCD and Newmar, and both are saying I need a whole new unit day and night shed for 700 from MCD and 500 from Newmar.

The only part that is broken is a little plastic pin that goes into the mounting bracket on the driver window…

I not sure MCD says it a sway shade and I have 2 option I can buy another one for 700, or ship this one back, pay for postage back and then back to me and they will repair it for 140.00 a hour plus I pay for the parts…

Niw if they can repair it why can’t they just send me the little piece that broke. So I can put it back on and have a night shade?

Not sure other then money, so I trying different avenue anyone else run into anything like this….. it the stop side of the shade and I suggested that if I buy a stop bar ( which doesn’t fit my needs) but I can disassemble it to get the little piece that is broken and put mine back together.

They tell me it won’t work…

Help anyone

I'd search for another option, such as another Day/Night shade combo. The link below shows a combo for under $200.

In the meantime, take a picture of your shade and what's broken so others can chime in on a possible fix.

I'm a graduate of "Mickey Mouse University" and am a master at Mickey mousing things. LOL If it's just a "little plastic pin" I'd find something that would fit and try that. I also have a son-in-law with a 3D printer who has made a couple parts for me.

I had a problem with my 2013 TRADITION front shade when I bought it. I bought a motor assembly sheep from amazon. Fit perfectly.
