Meeting with Michelle Howard

Met with Michelle Howard yesterday for over 3 hours picking out colors and schemes yesterday. What a great experience that was, my wife was hesitant when I first mentioned doing this but now is really happy we flew back here to do this. Michelle was not only helpful but very patient. We told her we were ordering in Dec. so we could pick it up in May, she recommended that we might want to order sooner as slots for the Dsdp were all ready into March. Needles to say we will put our order in next week.

Good for you she is one of the best good luck in your up coming Newmar, here is a Brochure and Owners Guide and you can find a PDI LIST in this link.
Below in my signature you have many links to things in your Newmar and plenty to read waiting for your coach, enjoy.

Michelle is the best. We worked with her on two coaches this last year, our 2016 DSDP and a 2017 BSS for a family friend. Her guidance and design sense is excellent. Oh yes, she is patient!! In 2016 you could have ordered a 43' DSDP up to about first of March with an off line date in late May. Newmar divides the year up into production run's, and each run allows only certain number of models and lengths. The trick is to know what production run you want your coach to built in, based on your desired off line date and work with Newmar to get scheduled in that production run.

Going to the factory and working with her is the only way to custom order a coach. I wasted months with Dealer and even a different Newmar Rep, I did the factory pick up and realized the I should have gone there first.

My father just ordered his new 17 DS 4326 and is picking it up in Nov. He build and designed his with Michelle.

Building a custom Newmar.

1. Go to factory and build with Michelle.
2. Get build sheet
3. Send build sheet to numerous dealers for best price. 27% to 30% on a new coach is possible. My father just got 29.2% off his dutch star from North Trail. Right off the bat, We live in Oregon, Doing a factory Pick up. I got 27.2% off after a horrible experience at my local newmar dealer.
4. Do the Factory Pick Up. Worth Every penny, My dealer suggested against it.
5. If you pick your own colors, go to the factory and find the colors on the small painted color scheme samples and take them outside to see the metallics and pearls. Picking colors off a chart is not helpful.
