Metal trim on Engine hatch

How does the metal trim get fastened to the hatch cover, or is it driven into a clip or channel in the floor once the hatch is in place?

Mine has become loose and sticking up it's a tripping hazard and is very sharp at the mitered corners.

TIA..

The metal (SS) on the engine hatch and around the coach is held with double sided tape. On our 18 LA have had the use a number of different adhesives like Shoe Goo to reattach the metal trim. Lift the metal a little then using a tooth pick spread the glue under the metal and use duck tape our something to hold against coach for a day and it has worked a number of times.
