You might consider an AppleTV or going low tech and using a lightning to HDMI adapter.

We have used our Apple TV before. The HDMI adapter is hit or miss. The app developer can either allow the video output or not. Some apps will only have audio through the HDMI adapter.

You can buy an HDMI adapter that will allow you to connect your iPhone/iPad via an HDMI cable to your TV.
https://www.amazon.com/Lighting-Adap...gateway&sr=8-8
And you can charge your device at the same time.
We use one to watch our AT&T U-verse streaming to the big TV in our RV.

I’m just in the process of moving from android to apple. Reviews indicate the lightning to HDMI adapter has many failures. Going the Apple TV route myself.

Very experienced. Have worked with Apple solutions for decades. Through all the apps and adapters, AppleTV remains the easiest and most elegant method with loads of other benefits; ie enable iOS devices to act as a keyboard and remote.

I bought this to connect my laptop to my TV. I have not connected a phone, but there are videos showing it connecting to a phone.
