Mobile repair/bodywork in Orlando?
Been lurking and learning for a while but first time posting. Hubby and I have a 2024 Canyon Star 3947. For those not familiar, it’s Newmar’s Front Engine Diesel with a 10 foot garage in back and a second entrance door to garage. En route from Dallas to Orlando, in slow traffic in a construction zone, a concrete barrier hit the garage door stepwell and deformed the second to last passenger side cargo bay door. (Yep I phrased that very carefully - I was not driving at the time). That door is now pushed about an inch to the rear and wedged under the door of the last bay of the coach. I am a pretty handy lady and could probably pry the bays open but am concerned that they would not latch shut again, and we have a long way to go to get home. Worst case we will do without the contents of those bays but it sure would be helpful to get access to them. We’ve got a few days parked at a hotel and then campground in Orlando before we hit the road home, hence my question for leads on mobile repair. Or for anyone who has pried open a bay door, how to keep it shut until it’s fixed

Your probably in a good place to get RV body and paint work. Lots of shops here.
Try https://www.themotorcoachstore.com/
There is also a Camping World in town and LazyDays near Tampa.

Sad to hear about your problem. I would try and wait till you got home to Dallas and take it to NIRVC who will make the problem disappear. The problem is a time thing as I don't see anyplace able to fix it in a timely manor while you are on a trip.

I believe Newmar has a Mobile repair unit in the Central Florida area so you could call and at least ask.
I agree with WILDEBILL308 on waiting until you can get it to NIRVC in Dallas.

I've had good luck with Nichol's in Eustis, FL. They do have mobile service as well as their shop. They have been in business for decades.
Your time constraints could likely be an issue, though.

Thanks all! Looks like timing (including New Years) means we will wait till we are back home. Will hold on to the suggestions in case we are here longer in the future.

Yes, so sorry to hear about your incident OhWhyNot, and thank you for the recommendations WILDEBILL308 and Mr. T!
We would love the opportunity to earn your business and make these repairs timely upon your return to Dallas. We have a full-service paint and body shop in Lewisville and our collision work carries a lifetime warranty. After consideration, please feel free to contact Ricardo (Rick) Porter, service advisor at our Lewisville store at 469-277-8852 or rporter@nirvc.com for a free estimate.
Out of abundance of caution, I wouldn't recommend prying the bay doors open if you can hold off. Getting them to latch and secure properly on your travels back to Dallas could result in additional damage.
Best Regards,
Bill Reith
