As far as I know, the stopping position can be programmed via the 2 switches that are attached to the motor on the shade. Look at the manual for your MCD shade. The programming procedure is explained in great detail.

Actually when we had the coach at Nappanee for warranty work the techs installed something that prevented the DS night shade from being deployed while the ignition was on. They said it was a safety recall. Hated it. I had to sign a release to have it uninstalled.
