Moisture in peg board compartment.

I been driving in the rain all day, I-80 in UT & NV. The wire loom from the awning was wet. Does anyone have a clue?

Hi DD788Snipe,
In the bottom of the tower, on the roof, there is a hole in the roof much larger than the wire going through it. Water can get into the tower, run down the wire, etc, etc. The if you plug the hole, consider drilling a 1/4" hole on the back side and at the bottom of the tower. Water can not be allowed to puddle in the tower. Water will ruin the auto retract feature.

I get water in my peg board compartment on my 05 MADP 4304 as well when driving in the rain and for the life of me I can't find where it is coming from.

On our previous 2008 Kountry Star the dealer sealed the seams around the rear wheel well right behind the peg board compartment. That fixed the moisture issue for us.

DocJim's post is another good source of water in that compartment. This would happen only when driving. This source would be all over the left side of the compartment and the bottom of the compartment. I took a can of Flex seal (as seen on TV) and sealed the wheel well.

Thumbs up

Thanks you for all your advice. I'll try to check it out when I get to Texas.
