I had a similar problem last year and finally discovered the problem. I wasn't smart enough to realize this only happened when the toad was connected but that was the source of the problem. There was a hot 12 volt feedback through the toad light cable to the ignition module in the coach that kept the engine running when the key was turned off. I disconnected the wire and taped it off so no more problem.

Sounds like a faulty fuel cut-off solenoid.

Bob ...sounds like your toad lights hookup doesn't include the required diodes that prevent voltage feedback. They shouldn't be hard to add.

I had that happen also on my 2000 MH with Cat engine. I am very close to a dealer and drove it over there. They fixed it and told me that they had found a bad diode. Much later I noticed that the engine generator didn't seem to charge the House batteries so I suspect that they just cut that wire out of the circuitry. It's an area for you to look at.

Good luck - Darrel
