Mountain Aire Gas rig Workhorse 8.1 L Surging, Plug wire heating issue

Just got my 2004 Newmar Mountain aire back foorm the shop today. (only 9700 miles), This is my 2nd set of plug wires. Motor had been surging when going up a hill or when car in tow, really during any extra load. They added new plug wires, new plugs, new Fuel filter, and new air filter. They also added the Cooloing vent kit, My Service center contacted Workhorse, they covered this under emissions warranty. That was good news, Hoping this does it.
Also was asking about the Bosch brake recall: Still no parts available, maybe this summer. Service center said they will have a back log of 2 years to retrofit over 200 coashes in my area.

The Vent Kit has proven to be successful! Good luck going forward and may you not need to get another plug wire. If you ever do you may want to consider some Taylor Extremes.

Congratulations on your new coach mikewy.
Back in your years time period the Newmar coach's had problems with rain water getting into the air-intake Tuba. This thread will explain what some of us did to correct the problem and to go further replace the TUBA with a CAI intake form Brazel's or made up their own version.
Never had wire problem because the Newmar motor bay was wide open for good air movement around engine area.
The wires DriVer speaks of are good ones for replacement most of us have them.
