mountain wire under sink water filter

Went to replace the under sink water filter on my 2001 Mountain Aire. It had a Kenmore #38442. Sears says that is a discontinued number. Anybody have a good number for a replacement without making changes to the existing plumbing?

If you have the old one try matching up with the ones at Home Depot may find a match.
Go to where they sell the kitchen sink filtered faucets, plumbing section.

What 007 said and also in the plumbing dept where the RO filters are. There is a generic GE that I could replace the ends with my old filter and they fit perfect. CW price $37. Home Depot $10.00 Or the entire under-sink replacement kit is $14.95 with a new filter.
