Mounted the GPS today.
Got a Garmin RV760LMT about a week ago and the suction cup would not stay attached to the material on the dash. Soooo, I went on search for a better way to mount and found this online. It works great!
Cheers,
Don

Nice install. I wonder if it would of been better to drill a hole and splice and run the power behind the panel to hide the power wires. And then hardwire it to 12 volts via a switch and fuse. Just my thought. On my last rig I finally got tired of all the extra wires so I added an accessory switch which turned off all of my extra toys.

BTW...
Nice job on the install AND having a well placed sticker to remind you of your coach height.

Good install. Wish I had the space in my dash. COWRV39 has a good idea, about hard wire. Infact, I just noticed that you have room for another switch to the right (or left) of the row of switches below your install.

Hi Don,
Love the install, I have the same unit.
I could not find the mount online - can you point me in the right direction?
Thanks,
g

Cooperhawk, Yes it has no problem finding the satellites from that position. going to be trying it out for four days starting this Friday. I'll let you know only if I have any problems.
Cheers,
Don
Oh, I forgot to mention I had to go to the hardware store and buy some longer 6-32 machine screws plus I used a flat washer and nyloc nut to secure the mount.

Thanks Don - I currently use the friction dash pad - does ok - but haven't put it to the real test of a short stop. Would love to get it dash mounted as your is - looks good!
I sit mine on the edge of the dash, close to me and it gets the sats just fine - as a matter of fact - I sit in my second floor office at the house and it gets the sats - in problem.
