Mounting Bose sound bar to the outside TV

Today I tackled something that has annoyed from day one, the Bose sound bar mounted to the wall below the lip of the outside entertainment area compartment, not being able turn with the TV screen and partially blocked by the lip.
I fabricated a bracket out of 1/8 inch thick aluminum plate, and raised the tv wall mount 3/4 of an inch to allow extra bottom clearance
Now when the TV turns, so does the sound!

Looks great. How did you cut the aluminum?

He did it so well it hard to see. The silver screws are into the TV, and the black are into the soundbar. All are using factory screw locations. Very well done.

Thank you! That is correct the silver screws are the TV screws and the black screws are the sound bar screwsThe ( sound bar mounting brackets eliminated) . I used a cutoff wheel to cut the aluminum, it’s hardness took the teeth off of a brand new jigsaw blade. Stuart

One major benefit I didn’t mention, the Bose remote now works without having to hold it over my head[emoji4]

Nice modification. I see the 19 models have copied you.

Thanks, pretty simple, with really great sound results. I did see the 19s will come this way. One of those things I procrastinated on for quite a few months.

I wonder if you can buy the bracket assembly from Newmar and retrofit (for those of us that are not as mechanically inclined as Stuart )

I was just looking at a picture of one, looks like the mount itself may incorporate it , I’m sure you could buy a mount from Newmar, probably proud of it. I did make a tracing of the bracket, if you PM me with an email address I’ll send it to you, I’m sure you could have a local metal shop make one, (doesn’t need to be aluminum, could be steel). With a metal bandsaw it would take a few minutes, then just drill holes, pretty easy to install, I can give you instructions. I think it will actually fit without moving the wall mount, not that is hard to do. Stuart
