Thought I would start this off.
* Heated three zone floors
* Power basement slides.
* Power window shades.
* VORAD NOTE: No longer available.
I will think of more.
P.S. My lowly Essex has all of the above, excluding VORAD (collision Avoidance)

WOW!! You've said a mouthful already as VORAD would be something I'd consider a REALLY NICE TO HAVE...
What happened Peter?

I agree Bob. If it were available, we're order it, but when we did the factory tour in Nov, 07 we were told it's no longer an option.

As I understand it, it involved a serious accident that lead to the discission not to supply it.
At this point, I'm unaware of the availability of it on other makes.

The main reason we chose the King_Aire over the Essex was the additional NCC for carrying stuff.
Because of all the 'stuff' we want to carry, we're not planning on getting the power basement slides, because we thought the power ones take up a lot more room and we need all the storage space we can get. In addition to all the normal stuff everyone carries around, we also ride motorcycles and are divers and will be carrying around motorcycle gear and dive gear, additional wetsuits and also underwater camera equipment. In other words, lots of 'stuff'.

Sue, I guess that makes sense, hopefully that's the coach you want as it's alot to pay for an additional 1,000 to 3,000 lbs. carrying capacity.
KA 45' CCC = 9500
EX 45' CCC = 6500
EX 41' ccc = 8500

Yeah, it's 3,000 lbs more, since we'd be looking at the 45' in either case. We also don't particularly care for the cabinetry in the Essex, and by the time we added some other options, the price gap narrows considerably.

Fellow stuff people...
Two issues, CCC AND Cubic Feet. As a fellow stuffy (and diver), my biggest problem has been the cubic feet, particularly the fact that K2/K3 chassis have ladder rails that completely evaporate tons of usable cargo area. You would be wise to pile your stuff all together before you buy and take some measurements. You might want to strongly consider a monocoque chassis RV, unfortunately even more expensive than a KA, like a Prevost conversion. Without the rails and other considerations, these designs have near walk through basements. BTW, Newell is NOT monocoque and has the same rail issues.
I concur with your deletion of the power trays and suggest manual 2/3 models (absolutely NOT full slide as your stuff will hit the rails and is limited in stack height) in the door side rear two bays. You positively will not regret it. Leave the front full bay fully open for the long things and pile up things. But, if you stuff a bay full w/o a slide, it is near impossible and very aggravating to access stuff in the middle of a pile.
Lots of Rubbermaid large totes can be strategically placed in a 2/3 slide and they just clear the rails on a K2. This maximizes stuff capacity and simplifies retrieval.
The 2/3 slides are cheapest at Newmar and if you don't like (doubtful) it's a quick job to pull them. Don't forget there is a lip at the bottom of the bay that a slide must clear if you try aftermarket, you won't get a lower model than Newmar's (because of that lip) and they are the most inexpensive to have Newmar install.
Quick pics...
DS #1 frontmost - note shelves added
DS #3 Rubbermaids stacked to rails on 2/3 slide
DS #4 Rubbermaids stacked to rails on 2/3 slide - this slide butts up against the hydrohot.
ODS #2 wide open through to DS
ODS #3 open area more Rubbermaid butts up to DS 2/3 tray
The Rubbermaid lets you stack stuff inside higher than you can by just throwing it in the bay. Also retrieval is a snap.

Wow, Jeff, you got a lot of stuff! But, then again, if I was in the ski mountains, I would opt for more stuff. Mainly fricking sweaters or like wear, but never the less, stuff.
Let's face it, we all love stuff.
Jeff! For gosh sakes Scotty, beam him down to Florida!!!! Where the stuff is warmer, but never the less, stuff.
Earth, to Jeff, earth to Jeff, come in.
Peter.

Peter, yo da man, dude!
Stuff...
Hiking, Skiing, Biking, Mountain Climbing (did one just today), Diving, Snowshoeing, Golfing, Boating (Zodiac), Camping (yes the sleep on the ground type), well, you get the idea... Stuff....
You're right, that freaking cold weather stuff takes up lots of space, ugh... Back up heaters, back up everything 'cause it's lonely out here and if something goes wrong - or just in general - I just have to do it myself! At least in Florida all I'd need is a speedo!
All that stuff works as well in freezing Colorado as in Sunny Florida! Well, some of it at least. Hard to play golf in the snow.
But, I do not have any Cruzin Coolers or Blender Blasters, yet!
Scotty I am ready for Florida! At least a quick visit to play with the Amigos and get some "unfrozen" beverages! My drink umbrellas are stuck in a giant snow covered ice cube! Problem is, half the time the roads here require chains on big beasts like ours - think I am gonna puts chains on it? Not...
Oh well, stuck a while longer in frozen paradise I guess!
