Mystery 12V living room lighting failure

OK ... this has a happy ending. Today my Navigator (aka sweetie-pie) announced "a few lights in the living room don't work". Further chatting revealed the 2 sconces (1 on each side of coach) wouldn't light. Checked the fuses and all lighting fuses were fine. Thought they might be daisychained so checked all the other fuses ... all good. So, pulled 1 fixture and checked at the light .... pushbutton switch in the lamp base was bad. Hmm ... couldn't be a bad switch in the other light .... or could it ???

Yup, 2 bad identical switches on the same day

Go figure ...

Clipped the wires and connected the leads. They were series switches on the wall lighting panel. Never could understand why.

Like you said really do not need switches, lights work from wall switch.
The base switch may have corrosion on its contacts because they were never used to clean contacts.

Probably ... just cheap push on/push off.
