NCC differences between MA, LA, Essex and KA

Sitting here in the customer service center looking at the 2020 brochures and found something very interesting. The following are the average NCC (net carrying capacities) for the luxury line coaches.

MA - 8000
LA - 8000
ESSEX - 7100
KA - 4900

It really struck me that you give up about 1/3 of your NCC with the top of the line model. I know there are 50 extra gallons of fuel, and an integrated pressure washer, but where does the other 2500 lbs of weight come from on those coaches as compared to the LA???

16 house batteries in the KA add a lot of weight.
