Need - Floor Heat Relay

Trying to find source and part # for Floor Heat Relay. Know it’s been discussed here but no luck with searches. Mid & Front are intermittent, not a GFI issue so just want to buy two relays. 2015 DutchStar.
Thank you.

Hmmm ... 2 bad relays? One yes, but two? Although not improbable, it's unlikely.

Are you running any other high-draw components? The floor heat may be intermittent because your coach is shutting it down to limit load/amperage when other things are running (furnace/HVAC, rear floor heat, basement heat, electric [vs 'furnace'] hydronic heating, microwave, induction cooktop, etc.). The relays may be fine and your floor is shutting down as designed.

If you still need the relays ...

1. Google the part# exactly as written on the relay. Even if Newmar has them, you'll pay much le$$ sourcing them elsewhere

2. https://integrityrvparts.com/

3. https://newpar.newmarcorp.com/instan...cher?mode=body

Good luck

Thanks OMMM. Already tried Newgle and Integrity, Coach is in storage and I need a part number. Been messing with these two zones for 3-4 yrs, no power shedding. Bdrm has always been solid. Last winter tightened connections at relays and redid all wire nuts - fixed it for 48 hrs. Finally down to replacing relays. Coach 20 miles away now, so it’s grab and go south.

Out of curiosity, does this also happen when you're on generator power? If only tested while on shore power, is it 30- or 50-amp?

If you can't find the same relay, either Newmar or your floor heat's manufacturer may be able to get you a suitable cross-reference part#.

Good luck. I understand the frustrations of things not working like they should

Any relay that has a 12V primary winding and switch contacts that are rated for 120V and 15A or higher will do the job. I think I got replacement relays from Digi Key, electrically they have about everything.

Have you measured the voltage on the current relays when the heat quits working? If there's 12V on the input and 120V on the output, it isn't the relay.

Floor Heat Relay

Thanks Flyboy & alank. Found part at Integrity. Will buy one then test before replacing. Question - does the KIB board turn current on/off for low & medium settings? I understand current is switched on/off to achieve lower temp…

Not sure how things work on the Dutch Star. My coach has silverleaf which turns the relay on and off based on which level (1-10) you have set. I would expect there is a KIB board in your coach that does the same.

Yes, DutchStar = no Silverleaf. Could be Board, will test Relays when it’s acting up as alank suggests. Have tested them prior and had 110v going through. Prob a Board since it’s intermittent… Will figure it out, Heated Floors are the absolute best heat!
