Need Help - Kitchen Slide Partially Out and Crooked
Can you all give me some quick help - just made it to our RV - 2017 Dutch Star 4018. When putting out kitchen slide - electric, not hydraulic, one corner went out but other side did not. It is out about 3 inches - now will not go in or out. Other slides are fine. I know there are fuses as well as manual adjustment screws - I’m going to do done research but I know you all are better than anything I can research.
Thanks for any help.
Charles

Make sure bolts that hold slide motor are tight to bracket and make sure you are plugged in to shore power or generator is running.

I wrote this post last night for member with same problem.
This link will have many slide problems also.
If the bolts are OK and not loose and turning you will need to release torque bushing and with help push in slide flush against wall opening and tighen the torque bushing on shaft to motor.
The Newmar search link may have that info to access motor.
This one to access motor.

Thanks for the links. I have a lot of reading to do. This is one of those issues that makes you wish you should have learned the systems better BEFORE something happens. I’ll look at it more in the daylight.

On my Ventana the slide control for the kitchen has buttons on it with which you can control each motor individually to realign the slide. Call Newmar customer service and they can guide you through it and assist in making the controller relearn the position of each end.

I have been fighting this now for 7 months. Here are a few helpful hints. Under the slide in the rear ceiling in the storage compartment you will find the KIB circuit board that controls the 2 motors. There are links here on how to reprogram the board. You also can sometimes(and I mean sometimes) move the slide with the buttons on the board. There are 5 buttons on the board in the shape of a H. The center button is for reprogramming the board. The buttons on each side control the front and back motor. One for extending and one for retracting. Good luck with your problem. Mine is not fixed yet.

As a pilot, married to a pilot, that is why when they handed us the keys to our Dutch Star, I said, "When is ground school?" We took delivery last fall, and spent all winter learning systems. Good luck with the slide.

Looking at the circuit board, there is a red flashing light next to “Comp Side B”

Update - I was able to get the slide back in and level with the buttons on the circuit board - thanks taratiffen. Now the button in the inside panel won’t work to put the slide out - may need to be reprogrammed. Thanks to you all, though - at least it is not stuck out!

Call Newmar, they will email you the procedure to reset the controller. I had the same issues, it’s an easy procedure. You can still extend the slide manually by using the buttons on the Control board until you get a hold of customer service.
