Need Help: New to M/H's

I am looking at a 2001 Newmar Mountainaire, 38 ft gas v10, has been setting up for about 5 years, has around 9800 miles on it. It has been stored inside, older couple finally deciding to sell. He wants $29,000 and I don't believe he will budge.

Looks brand new, he says everything works and is setting at a rv repair facility and has no problem in checking it out.

If it checks out is this a good deal. With only 9800 miles it has been doing a lot of sitting the last 15 years.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

Getting it inspected is a great idea. It will confirm whether or not you are getting a good deal. With only 9800 miles on it I suppose they might be original tires. You said it has been sitting for 5 yrs. Make sure the tires are not out of usable date.

Good luck I hope all goes well for you. Happy Trails!!

Seems kind of high priced to me, our 2002 DSDP on Spartan blue book retail was around $80,000 and it had newer tires and lots of options.
As was said, check the tire dates and have it professionally checked out.

I think these machines work better over time with consistent use. When things sit I always seem to experience opportunities for repairs. But, with a good thorough check, or if you find a few things wrong, perhaps negotiate lower if you like the unit.
