A friend had two space heaters plugged in the slide on a '92 Kountry Star in the living/dining area. I replaced the breakers and still no power in the plugs. Am I missing a GFI plug somewhere? We have looked all over. Any help would be much appreciated in resolving this issue. Thanks in advance! LenNtx

Hi LenNtx,
Welcome to iRV2. This is a guess. Look under the overhead kitchen cabinets (directly above the counter top). Sometimes an outlet or two is located there and can have a GFI. One must get a little twisted to see along the underside of the cabinets. Look carefully, Newmar uses outlet covers to match the cabinets. They tend to blend in.

Welcome LenNtx to the Newmar forum.
Look in bottom left wall of slide may have a blank outlet there and under the slide outside the wiring is in a rubber covered wire that follows the u-chanel bend as slide moves in and out, flexing of wire may have broken down.
There are some wire terminations from slide in compartment under slide. There is a GFI outlet in bath also.

Hi Lenntx,

We had a 1992 KSDP and we had 2 GFI outlets. One in the bath and one in the kitchen on the wall behind the sink/stove. The were both obvious GFI outlets. If the one behind the sink/cooktop tripped, no power in the slideout.

Just as an added note --- it is not unusual for these to trip and not reset when they get older...It is just a thing about GFCI...It may be you are pushing the right reset on the master plug but it is not resetting properly to energize the slave units. You might have to replace it.
