Need help: Slide Locks on 2007 KS

I am parked with all of my slides open on my 2007 KS and I noticed that on the drivers rear bed room slide that both automatic lock levers are not flush like all my others, but are sticking out extended (as the do when the slide is closed). The locks are part of the automatic open and close cycle

Newmar customers service is closed until Mon, and I am afraid to try to close the slide.

Has anyone experienced this and know what to do?

Can you manually push them in?

I was told never move the slides if the automatic locks are not flush.

Apparently you can disconnect the power (located where the locks are located/mounted - uncover in the cabinets or behind covers)

If you can then get them flush you can operate the slides. Not required to be locked to travel.

Good luck

Just press your slideout button again and you will hear the locks come in. Just let go of the button when you hear them stop. The next time you bring the slide in it will readjust to work correctly. Mine do that especially when I have had the 12 volt power disconnected and turn it back on.

Wayne, thanks for the tip. It worked!

Were you ever able to cure the cause of this situation? I currently do not trust my rear slide locks will work correctly.
