The bedroom slide of the Ventana 4037 went out about 3" and tried to bring back in. But it only came in a VERY little bit. Also, tried to put out but only moved a very little bit. It is extremely cold and not sure if that has a bearing.

1. Has anyone had a similar issue?
2. Any suggestions what this could be?
3. How does one manually bring this slide in?
4. If it moves a bit, either way, would it be the motor?

This is bad timing since we are to leave for Florida in a week.

To add some additional information..........

The mh is plugged in to 50 amp and the batteries are showing that they are charged. I have attempted to bring the slide in/out with the mh running. The one good thing about this is that the rig is in the driveway

Adjust the potentiometer on the control board. It sounds like the cold weather added added some resistance and put you over the current setting.

2020 Ventana 4037

Hey John,

We are in Wisconsin so it’s only about 0 degrees today. I’ve had the same issue with my coach, and oddly the bedroom slide on the door side. My coach is much older than yours, but maybe my solution works. I talked to the dealer and he said most likely cold is causing some issues with the sensors.

What I do is I click the toggle to start the slide, then, because there is a delay, I hurry outside and put my hands shoulder width apart on the slide, as it starts to move, I just apply minimal pressure, but pressure enough to help it along. That seems to do the trick and it goes right in and the slide arms lock. The slide comes out just fine, and for some reason it’s only slide of the four that is giving me issues and wouldn’t you know it it’s the one with the most difficult motor to reach. I did check my motor bolts on the other 3 slides and all was well.

I’ll have the dealer look at this when I’m there, but for now, just helping it along seems to work.

We’re heading to Tucson in a week so I feel your concern about slide out issues. Safe travels!
