Need to Add Coolant/Antifreeze to Cummins ISL9

I hate to sound stupid but I can't get the cap off. LOL

I can twist it so it's loose, but it won't come off. Any ideas?

Once it is loose, push down and turn it again. Then lift it off.

Ok. So now I got it off and put it in 1 gallon and it doesn't even show up in in the little glass bubble. Could it be this empty or do I have a leak somewhere? I only have 4300 miles on the engine. Also, could this be the reason that the Check Engine light came on? Thanks!

It seems I am always adding fluid to the tank as well...i always make sure after running for awhile I don't see any leaks which I don't however it's going somewhere..

I recently had liquid leaking off the generator in my rig. Ran the gen slide out and found it was coming from a panel above the gen. Removed the cover panel and found it coming from a hose on the cab heater. Also found that someone had tied a rag around the hose to catch the drip. I tightened the hose clamp but I'll probably end up having to replace the hose and clamp.
Amazing some of the "repairs" you find on a used rig!!

I recently noticed a wet spot under my Ventana and found it to be antifreeze dripping off the lower hoses. I took it to Freightliner in Gaffney (not too far from me) and they did find some loose hose brackets. They said it is not unusual with a new rig a few months after purchase as the hose can shift or shrink and then drip. It’s odd, but it only leaked when cool...

I didn’t have any of the special antifreeze this beast uses, so I just added distilled water and headed to freightliner.

Just an FYI...
