New 2022 MA - Oasis Issue?
Hi,
Hoping for some troubleshooting suggestions. First night (besides at NiRVC) in our new 2022 Mountain Aire. Went to take a shower and the only water options are really hot or really hot. Testing it out, all faucets are doing that. I went to oasis and turned off the burner and Elec 1 and Elec 2. Still doing it. Any suggestions?
And just to be clear, this isn’t really warm water, it’s too hot to stand under hot.

Are you using city water or pumping from your tank?
Did you by chance leave the aquamiser on and heat all your stored water?

My gut tells me you didn't turn off the shower the last time, but rather turned the aquamiser valve. This recirculated your fresh tank water with hot water until the whole tank became hot.
If you can turn off pump and use hose water you should get some cold.
May take a while to cool down your holding tank.

Only other option is a seriously flawed plumbing issue.
Let's hope it's the simple answer.

Thanks for suggestions.
- When I went to shower, the Aqua Miswr was off (on Silver Leaf screen). I turned it on and got in.
- we are all of tank water - when we picked up the coach, a solenoid was bad and water was filling tank and overflowing regardless of what you selected so NIRVc has ordered the part.
- based on suggestions, I started dumping fresh tank and sure enough the water was very hot. I don’t know why, but I dumped most of it and refilled with fresh water.
With the new fresh water it’s working again as it should (hot and cold). Now just need Tom figure out why the fresh tank was getting heated up.

Great to hear you have it going in the right direction. Hopefully it will not be too tough to solve.
Thanks for the correction Red, I wasn't thinking it through the right way.

Your shower control has settings for turning on the aquamiser. The silver leaf only operates the indicator letting you know it's ready.
There is most likely not a position to turn off water besides the main valve. So make sure your other knobs in the shower are not set to prevent water flow. If they are, that's most likely the aquamiser doing the job of heating your tank.

I'm with R.B. on this one.
Go to your shower and look for a valve similar to the one in the photo below. In your case, the valve will probably be mounted on the shower wall, just below the valve that turns the shower on & off. Look closely at the diverter valve and you'll see it's labeled to indicate when it's in the recirculate position. If that's where your diverter valve is set, rotate it 180 degrees to the off position.
The only time you want that valve in the recirculate position is when/if you want to preheat water before taking a shower. Not really all that necessary unless you're dry camping and doing all you can to save water.
Let us know if you need a better photo of the diverter valve. I'll be happy to shoot a photo of the one in our 2022 Super Star.

Regarding your REALLY hot water, the Oasis unit on our Super Star is currently heating water to a higher temperature than any of the several Aqua-Hot hydronic heating systems we've had in previous motorhomes.
I haven't done it yet, but there is an easily accessible mixing valve inside the Oasis box that can be adjusted to lower the temperature to a level you prefer. Not sure why they (Oasis or Newmar?) set it produce such hot water, but since you're experiencing the same thing we are, I'm guessing it's standard practice.

My theory is the last shower taken was many hours before this discovery. As we know heating cold water produces a less "hot" water than heating already hot water.
Its possible that entire tank was turned into a hot water storage tank, and kept at the maximum temp for many hours.

Here are some photos of the Aqua View Shower Miser valve in the shower of our 2022 Super Star. I'm guessing other Newmar coaches have a similar setup.
I've added some notes to the photos to indicate the position the diverter valve should be in 99% of the time; the other 1% being when you move the valve to the Recirc position to preheat the water that will be emerging from your shower.
If you look closely at the second and third photos you can see the icons on the diverter valve that indicate its normal position (lever pointing to the shower icon) and its preheat position (lever pointing to the recirc icon).

With regard to the owner who initiated this thread, I agree that what you described is almost certainly what's going on.
Regarding my Oasis system producing water significantly hotter than it needs to be, that is the case whether we're using the Shower Miser or not. In fact our only use of the Shower Miser so far has been one experiment to ensure it works as designed.
Based on input from a fellow Newmar owner, accessing & adjusting the Oasis mixing valve sounds pretty simple. Just haven't gotten around to doing it yet.

Yes, I too need to adjust mine down. I am using a pressure washer that is not meant for super heated water. Right now I am producing 152F, and would like to get it down to 130F
