Beginning to wonder after 6 days and no response to my question as to the advantage of porcelain ceramic floor tiles?

You can run and slide on them in stocking feet.

Just for full disclosure, we have vinyl wood planking on our floor throughout and find it ideal for our environment, including our two 10 and 15 lbs. dogs.
The OQ was to replace porcelain to reduce weight not the advantages of porcelain. Unless I missed something….

I agree that the OP was interested in weight reduction, which would certainly be achieved with vinyl planking versus porcelain ceramic. It is the multiple responses suggesting dire consequences that caught my attention. Thus, my question as to exactly what is the advantage that makes porcelain ceramic superior as a flooring material, as suggested by those responding?

I was at Hershey looking at the 3547 and the CCC was 3000 lbs.
Add the water and you’re Dow to about 2200 lbs.
that was a bit concerning.
My Horizon has a 8000 lbs CCC
Although I will never use my 8000 lb CCC I can see maybe getting overweight in a New Aire 3547.
Has any one weighed their New Aire with full fuel and full water.
It might have you down to 1200lbs or less, heck reminds me of the old Pace Arrow Fleetwood built in 2004 with a 800 lbs CCC.

If I remember properly and its very possible I am wrong but with the added weight of the engine added length and additional fuel it was down to about 3,000 or so lbs
The 3547 is 3000 lbs, I was concerned.
Add full fuel and water and I might be down to 12-1400 lbs.
No good.
What is the 33ft CCC?
The lighter engine and that chassis might be better.
They told me at the Hershey Show that they dropped the 33 ft due to it being underpowered. I have a hard time believing that bull.

We have them in ours and find them easier to clean, love the heated floor in cooler weather, will tend to keep coach warm without using the Oasis as well as reduce the heater use in cold weather. I would buy again. Plus Dog loves them cool in summer warm in winter.

I look at a 35 ft and had concerns about that as well, the 33 ft is double that at about 6000 lbs. I will say my unit does alright with the smaller engine, not a race horse but it gets me up and down the road

Both my DW and I wish our Ventana had the engineered plank flooring instead of the hard tile. Our coach (purchased used) was ordered without the under floor heating so in cooler temps the floor is just plain damn cold on the feet. Our previous LE had the plank and was much better in the cold. The weight difference in the two types is like 800 lbs as I was told by a salesman some time back. With the 360 hp 6.7 that difference will be felt in the hills.
