New Aire Chasis battery dead

After a few days of sitting my chasis batteries are dead. I am charging the batteries with a mid sized charge, BUT is there a switch that will allow the house batteries to start the coach? Did a good job turning off the invertor and used the 12v disconnect BUT didn’t turn the Chasis battery off.

Yes, on your dash is a booster rocker switch. Hold it down while you start the coach.

Hi - Another option would be to start the generator. After a few minutes try the engine.

Hi - No, as a general rule generators are set to start off the house batteries so that if the chassis batteries are flat you can start the generator to start the engine.

Charlievette-

Sorry to hear about your experience. I had the same thing happen. The battery boost switch to access the coach batteries worked great. I now turn off my chassis battery whenever I leave the coach parked for more than 24 hours.

Check out the previous thread entitled "Dead Chassis Batteries on New Aire." It contains some useful information.

The booster rocker switch gets it going. The gen battery was also dead. Fortunately I was at home and had a charger. The documentation in the New Aire owners manual is pathetic, but the owners forum has rescued me ...again. I think I am becoming a certified Air head. I want to be a certified Aire Head. With all the good brains in this group it might happen one day!
