I don't know if these issues have been covered before on this Forum as I could not find them in a search.
My coach has not been traveled since June, plugged in and left inside with just the necessary generator starts.
Today I took it out to fill it with diesel & DEF at our local Pilot as we are headed to the Syracuse Newmar Rally at the end of Sept. Once out and on the road I realized that the cameras were not operating properly.I could not get the rear view at all and other views except for the turn signal views were useless. I tried to reboot the dash unit (I had installed a dash switch for the Exite unit previously) but to no avail.
Next I called Newmar and Rik put me in touch with there supplier Riverpark. A nice man by the name of Jimmy helped me reboot the module which controls the cameras . This module is in the same passenger side bay as the awning modules and labeled HDCMN in large white letters on a black case. Doing this in combination with the reboot of the radio switch fixed the problem. Jimmy said if it happens again they would replace the module. He also said it happens when too many commands come into the module at once, which could have been the cause with me as my son was illustrating the function of the cameras and was not waiting for the next camera to come up before he continued to push forward
Next up was the water pump buttons in the bath and kitchen...totally useless for anything. All operation of the pump on & off had to be handled from the Silverleaf control panel.
I had this issue before and did the proverbial reboot of Silverleaf by removing the two 5 amp fuses that control the Silverleaf unit and replacing them after 30 seconds. Yes that worked fine but this was the SECOND time this has happened, so off I went and called Art at Silverleaf.
Art is another fine gentlemen who I have become familiar with previously by having to have to replace my Rozie module....TWICE. Art confirmed that there is a definite problem with the TM102W ( it's behind the clear fuse panels under the coach)module that controls this area and we worked out an exchange module fix.
So now we are ready for Syracuse
