New Aire Owners with MagneShade

I have been prepping to order Magneshades for our '21 New Aire 3545. I've taken all the measurements and watched the installation videos.

My Dash is up to 5 1/4" above the exterior glass bottom and the A-Pillars would prohibit putting interior magnets any closer than 2" from the outside vertical edges of the windshield. My understanding is that the magnets must be placed to the exterior edges to hold the shade tight and keep wind from getting underneath. Per MagneShade, sometimes exterior magnets must be used on the windshield.

If you had the same dash/A-Pillar interference with magnet placement, do you have a bunch of exterior magnets? If not, how did they handle placement, etc. Any info that can help me visualize the solution MagneShade implemented would be helpful.

I'm cringing at what a bunch of exterior magnets might look like and the work of keeping them clean from all the bugs and grime they would accumulate.

Thanks for your inputs.

I tried to reduce the amount of external magnets.

They use two larger magnets inside at the top corners. Auxiliary outside magnets are black and to the top of the windshield, they are black and you hardly notice them. We love ours and it works great keeping the heat out. No issues with bugs on them.

Not a New Aire owner but just ordered Magne shades for our rig. We had pretty close to the same question and they were great in helping. They asked for a pic of the front exterior of our rig and sent back the pic pointing out where the interior and exterior magnets would go. Yes we will have some exterior magnets but I'm not concerned with it.
