New backup camera needed. Looking for ideas, whats out there etc

Our bus is in the shop getting upgrades and some other items sorted out after our marquis 7k genset over voltaged to 156vac back in sept.

Our backup camera is i believe the original to the coach. 256 grayscale monitor to the left of the steering column. Whats out on the market now that would work as a replacement? Likes and dislikes? Wired vs wireless (is this an option).

Hope everybody is doing well!

Thanks,

Aaron

In my opinion, these are the guys to call. They're absolutely great to work with and they give sound advice. I've purchased from them several times and along with competitive pricing, they freely give great technical support.

A third vote for the above. Talk to Tim Lazaroe. He is not a big fan of wireless. He sold me a Voyager wired system for a very decent price.

I went with the 9" camera to fill the hole that the old Voyager came out of!
Cut the wires and soldered new ends on and good to go! Display $70, Camera $47

To put is simply, a $50 camera system today will have a better image than a $500 system from 5 years ago, reliability, lag (due to being digital), and general build quality, perhaps less so, but image, brightness, low light detail, etc. and anything you buy today will be better than anything on the market 8-10 years ago.

Make it 4 votes 4 Tim, he is very knowledgeable. I recently purchased a new monitor from him. He could have sold me a new camera as well but told me that ours had recently been replaced (based on a picture I sent to him) so I didnít need one! Thatís the kind of ethical business man we like doing business with, we will remember him for our future needs!

2 years ago I went with this for about $80. I used the existing cable and soldered a new connector on the camera end. Still works fine.
