New Home For our DutchStar
In the process of building a garage to store our 2015 DSDP.
Building is 50'x80' and will have 50 amp to plug in.
Water to building and 2 floor drains so I can wash, wax, buff, do modifications and basically enjoy taking care of our RV.
Questions is what should I if anything put under the tires.
Will be washing them and then applying some sort of tire care like 303 and from experience want to keep overspill off concrete
What works best under tires?

Put in floor heat and the tires are good no moisture. One big dehumidifier during the summer does the job.

We are in the process of building a 60' x 50' "motorhome garage" with an attached, covered 14' wide wash bay. Will have full hookups inside with a 500 gallon a day RO water system with 300 gallons of RO water storage (our well water is horribly salty and cannot be used for washing vehicles and I would never put it in the coach). This is what is going on the floor: Brindle Flake Colors for Epoxy Flooring | GarageCoatings.com not planning on putting anything extra under the tires for parking. Luckily, living in the desert Southwest, we don't have to worry about floor heat or de-humidification.

I went to the local Tractor supply store and purchase this to place under the tires. Utility Rubber Mat, Black, 4 ft. x 3 ft x ½ in. Product price $24.99

I would recommend against using anything but a plain coloured floor. I used what you are contemplating and found that if I dropped anything while doing maintenance it was almost impossible to find the dropped part. Like a screw or cotter pin or whatever.
A plain Colorado, gray or brown is the best.

Have you considered something like this magnetic floor sweeper?

I use the 3/4" version under my tires and as my jack pads. In my driveway the front tires are on a slope, so I use extra pieces to lever the motorhome.

We have a similar structure for ours and we use 3/4" stall mats cut to size for whatever tire set you're dealing with. They're heavy but once you get them in place they don't have to be moved. They come in 4' x 6' pieces
All the best,
Jeff

Unless you have a drainage sump, the wash water won't run into the floor drains.
Best procedure is to back the MH out and wash it. Pull it in to dry/service inside. Use a vapor barrier in your slab.

Ross ... While I appreciate the concern, there will be no maintenance performed on this floor. I have another 40 x 60 barn next to this one that is the shop where any work would take place, not that I do that much of my own maintenance ... that's what the dealer is for, spent too many years maintaining everything from aircraft to emergency vehicles to ranch equipment to want to do much of that in my "retirement" . The new barn is parking and party barn only ...

What about using the leveling jacks to reduce the weight on the tires during long storage times?

I have "heard" that you shouldn't let your tires sit for extended times on a concrete floor. So, we just have our motorhome sitting on 2'x4' pieces of 1/4" plywood. Works well for us, minimal cost, no fuss and no bother.
