The carpet tiles are here and working out arrangement. We really like the way they look, especially that they give us lots of options for other colors to be brought into the coach.
Also thinking about if the slide rollers will push them out of the way. They are only 1/4 tall, less than half the old carpet pad combo. thinking about adding a metal carpet transition to the edge where the rollers start to keep the tiles in place. The tiles are so much thinner that my not be needed... may just try with roller pads and add only if needed. Photos to come once it is all laid.

Paint
The next step is bringing the walls up to date. I used a borax and dish washing liquid mixture with a scotch bright pad to wash down all the walls. Got them clean and also roughed up the vinyl paper a bit to help with adhesion. Next step was filling any old screw holes, removing the old phone and coaxial cable jacks, patching the holes, and finally two coats of Killz primer all over.
On a bit of a hold right now. School is back in session and I am also waiting for fabric samples to pick the final colors of the interior. Hoping to get a string of warmer days in the next few weeks to get the top coat put on so I can get to the final carpet installation.
Cheers,
Mark

As I wait for a paint color to get selected I am working on turning all the fluorescent overhead lights into LED lights. I ordered some LED tape lights and connectors from Amazon, for a total cost of $15.00 have enough to retro fit 6 lights and also almost 2 feet to add to a glass cabinet for accent lighting. The light is a warm light that is nicer than the fluorescent lights they replaced. Easy job, didn't need to pul the lights down, just snipped the wires on the load side of the switch, and connected to the LED tape lights. I also pulled the ballasts and ballast covers from the lights saving maybe 3 pounds in addition to the energy savings.
(Update) Well ... I weighed the parts I pulled from each light and the total came up to 6.1 pounds. The LED light tape is just a few ounces each so probably a net savings of over 5 pounds. [emoji23] It all adds up! [emoji23]

I just added a transition between our bedroom carpet and ceramic tile. The carpet was fraying where they met. Newmar just butted the carpet up next to tile.
We also painted the cabinets in the front portion of our coach to tone down the all wood look.

Agreed, excellent job! What was your procedure on the "antiquing" of the cabinets? It has a fresh look, great!

New reading lights
I am updating all of the reading lights in the coach as well. Moving from the brass to a more modern stainless LED light with a built in USB and night light. So far so good, still waiting to paint, so can't install these on the walls yet.

Thanks to all for the comments [emoji16]
We used Anne Sloan “chalk paint “. We put down the base color (Old White) then when it dried we applied the streaks with two other colors. (Graphite and brown) To apply streaks we used a brush to apply a thin light line, then using a damp kitchen sponge we spread the paint out stroking in one direction.

Nice. I ended up painting all my inside lighting to get rid of the brass stuff. Made a big difference in the way the interior of the coach looked. Got rid of all brass - cabinet pulls, hinges, etc. Even painted the shower doors! I did all my stuff in a brushed nickel look.

new backsplash
It warmed up around here and with a small heater in the RV very comfy and ready for some work.
Pulled out the mirror backsplash and started putting in the peel and stick tile backsplash today ... It is going to look real nice ... more pics when it is all done .. Probably netted another 15 lbs on this upgrade as well.
