So ... it never ends with a 2001 coach. [emoji23]

On our way from OBX to Hilton Head we drive through hours of rain. Even with the modified Ford air intake we almost got stock from all the water the engine ingested. Water literally ran out of the air intake when I opened it up.

So, today I installed the Banks air intake. Hoping that solves that issue completely.

Also added a small air dam for looks and maybe some aerodynamic effect. And finally, because the headlights are not the best I added some additional lighting to help light up the way and to help us be seen. New bulbs are on the way for the main headlights. I swapped out the old headlight reflectors last year but the bulbs that came with them are not very good.

I will add some pics at night with the lights on and off ...

Looks good! Congrats on the rebuild project.
I was going to put a Banks system on my F53 but ended up selling it first.
Hope that fixes the water ingestion problem. I had to pause a trip due to water in the snorkel.

Workhorses ingest water too.

What maybe happening the wipers both sweep to the center of the windshields and the water is flowing into the hood area behind it into the air intake of Ford snorkel or the TUBA I call it of Workhorse engine air in take.
Many years ago I placed a rubber seal across the whole front opening of hood opening to stop all the water from entering these areas.
This link will explain it and also the removal of the TUBA on Workhorse chassis.
This link has good info on the Workhorse chassis also.

Notice you have a Ford here is a search for water problem with Ford engine which I thought the Banks was suppose to correct, no problem still putting in rubber bulb seal may help with the crazy wipers, if plug gets wet.

More nitty gritties. Lots of yellowed plastic on the outside. A little time to clean and paint them, makes a big difference.

I am very happy with how the finish has turned out with this product.

Looking great for a 20 year old finish. In my opinion.

Couple more projects done in the cheap. I am not a big fan of the oak in our Mountain Aire. Slowly swapping it out for barn wood. Probably will paint the cabinets this winter.

Feel good for a days work today. Fridge looks much more modern as does the slide. Also saved a few pounds. [emoji23]
