New model envy - Tampa RV show
Sorry, I don’t have a pic because of the crowds but my new favorite RV was the 2025 Mountain Aire 3825. The only downside was the price tag.
I don’t know who is picking interior/exterior colors but waaaay to much white and grey interiors and lots of blue exteriors.
The craziest thing was all the black 5th wheels. I’m thinking hot, hot summers

We try NOT to go to RV shows anymore Our Dutchy is now 10yrs young and interiors were very dark back then. We've remodeled to lighten what we can but I'm a huge fan of the light/white interiors. I think they will age better than the very dark. Stock photo from 2025 Newmar Mountain Air below. Looove it!

I think Newmar has a winner with the 38' floorplan. A great size plus it still has the tag axle.

I visited the show today and learned that Cummins is phasing out the 525 HP engine next year ... so was told that the 38' Mountain Aire would not be offered after 2026 unless Cummins comes up with a replacement engine. The Newmar representative at the show told me there would definitely be a change in 2027, but did not know what that will mean.

Lighter brighter colors is the market trend for interiors. The days of brown interior design has faded and I personally think it's about time. We've remodeled every RV we've own with lighter colors because neither my wife nor I like browns.

Yeah, but now I know what I'm going to get the very next time I have $900K+ in my bank account that isn't already spoken for!
And I've never understood the affinity with black or dark color RVs or even black vehicles in general but it seems to be an extremely popular choice for some reason. I've owned a black bass boat with dark carpet in the past and the difference between one with a dark cap and one with a white cap is nothing short of amazing. I can't help but think it would be the same with a dark RV, especially if that dark color extended to include the roof.

If or when I have an extra $900K for an RV it will likely be a used Prevost based coach, or Newell, or maybe (???) Foretravel.

There was a Newell on display at the Tampa RV show (you didn't need an appointment) , lot's of thought put into that bad boy. I was drooling big time.

When I looked at that unit, I really liked i, but one issue. It has two fewer storage bays, as I recall. And I carry a lot of "stuff"!

I know, off topic but it looks like the L9 is also going to be replaced by the new X10. The L9 is used in everything. Don't know if I would want a coach with a brand new engine.

A couple of weeks ago I went to the Motor Coach Store in Bradenton FL. The great folks there let me take this older Prevost for a test drive.
https://www.themotorcoachstore.com/2...lide-mid-bath/
Wife and I really like the classic Stainless-Steel look. The ride is addictive and with the 5.7 rear axle ratio acceleration was much better than 515HP would indicate.
They also had some King Aires there. While I really liked the floor plans overall build and cabinetry for that price range new impressed, I was not. Now for the Newall's! Wow! Didn't get to drive one but I see a lot of advantages over Prevost especially the value for older used. Multiple slides and mid entry have my attention.
