I am looking at a 2019 Newmar Baystar 3014 and their is a "Drain Lift Pump with 1000 Inverter*" listed in the features and options of the standard electrical area.

Anyone know what in the world that is?

Two phone calls un-returned and one un-returned email so far has me asking here. Kinda bummed because I keep hearing how great they are and I'm looking to buy...hopefully the responses get better after you spend some money?

I am not an expert (yet) but we did painstakingly research and look and research and look for over a year before ultimately deciding that the Newmar 3226 was our perfect match. We are patiently awaiting our new girl (we pick her up 5/6!!!!!). I will tell you that we ended up purchasing from NIRVC and they have been exceptionally helpful with describing the options and features detail by detail. I had a ton of questions about the upgrades and the differences and they were very patient and knowledgable. I would maybe recommend calling the dealer closest to you (or the one you are considering purchasing from) and asking them for the details. In some instances, our dealer sent us info from Newmar to review after our discussion. Just a thought....

I'm guessing it's an inverter wired to the television and macerator pump.

Going on two weeks, now up to three phone calls and three emails and still no response from Newmar.

I'm trying to figure out if the "lift pump" is on the BayStar 3014 or the 3401, and to get a confirmation on what it exactly is.

Not feeling to warm and fuzzy about their service...I'm looking to buy. Am I just in a black hole or what?

Here's my perspective. I have a 2019 Bay Star 3014 on order (since March) and am pretty sure it has no lift pump. The unit I looked at was the 3014 Bay Star Sport which is similar to the Bay Star but for some upgrades and chassis.

When I placed my order I asked for the Inverter option for obvious reasons. They came back and said Newmar said that inverter was no longer an option for Bay Star (was now standard - everyone wanted it), thus, no additional charge. So the pamphlet/spec sheet was off but it saved me some $$ (no increase in price). The lift pump never came up. I believe it's on the larger model.

We came very close buying a Winnebago but the Bay Star 3014 won out at the end. If you're keen on the floorplan/brand I would't let this get in the way. I purchased from a dealership thats been with Newmar almost 50 years and they can't keep all the details straight. Not sure how Newmar does....

I looked at the waste dumping area and it appeared the pulls were of the cabled variety as I couldn't see the waste gates on the 3014. The unit I looked at was a 2019 and had two inverters, but no one can answer the question which would seem simple. I don't know that it would dissuade me from purchasing, but the lack of follow through on Newmars end has me scratching my head a bit. Why transfer me to someones voicemail if they aren;t going to call back, and why provide a contact form if you aren't going to reply. That's whats got me more concerned than anything...a simple question going unanswered for weeks and multiple attempts at contact.

I think you'll love the 3014, its a great size and floor plan. We are deciding between that and the 3401, but I getting a little stubborn about pulling the trigger until someone can answer my question at Newmar.

I could be wrong (possibly and maybe but doubt it) on my 2018 3401 one inverter powers the TV over the fireplace,never tried it but was told that.

Still kind of amazed you are not getting feedback. they have always responded quickly to my notes, calls, questions.

It is true that all mine came after I placed an order, so I can't talk to questions coming in while making the buying decision.

We love our coach, hope you are able to find what you want.

They were closed on Good Friday, so yesterday they were probably swamped, they again today

Our 2020 Bay Star 3014 came with a SaniVite Drain Lift Pump apparently as standard equipment as it was not listed on the options sheet.
The function of the Lift Pump is to capture gray water from the sinks and shower and transfer it to the gray waste tank. The lift pump is neceassary because the gray water tank is located behind the rear axle and the pump was needed to get it there.
SaniVite elected to use a 120V AC pump motor so the pump will only work when the RV is plugged in to shore power, the generator is running or the pump is wired to an inverter. Per the Newmar Owner's manual: "Some coaches may have a separate small inverter just to operate the lift pump; however, most will share the inverter with other inverted circuits."
