New style full length awnings

We have the two awnings on our new 2016 Dutch Star and this seems to be the only thing that I don't have an instruction manual for. Is it possible to open and close just one awning? Also, is the wind sensor set to a factory default?
I just signed up for "Newgle" but we are already camping and I'm not sure how long that takes.
Thanks!

You should have 2 ways to do that. The remote will allow you to retract or extend either 1 at a time or both you just need to choose which stations you want to control. Your wall mount will do the same thang but I prefer to use the remote so that I have eyes on what is going on. If you press the button with the small circular arrow it will activate a series of red lights on the remote, there should be 5 lights. By pressing the button it will toggle between each station. First light usually your front main awning unless you have a girard over the front door. Press it again it moves to the 2nd light which is the next awning. If you continue to press all light will light up and then any comand will activate all awnings at once. Hope this helps. PS it is a good idea to always hit the stop button when stored to insure the awning motor will not cycle on and off.

I forgot to mention your wind sensor controls should be mounted on the wall just inside the 3rd door curb side. You can change limits from 12, 18 or other choices by pressing the button, I believe most are set on 18.

One other thing you should be aware of if they are Girard. They are powered by 120 VAC, not 12 VDC. There you must have your inverter on in order to operate if not plugged to shore power

Awning

Thank you both for the help.
There was a black remote attached to the sensor in the storage area which I used but when you described a different looking remote I found a white one and that worked as you explained. I can now work each awning independently.
It also looks like the sensor is set for 18 mph although there is nothing plugged in above the sensor area. Not sure why that plug would be empty unless it's unrelated and just happens to be above the sensor readout.
Thanks for the help!

If the Girard's are anything like our Carefree Apex the wind sensor is mounted on the outboard end of the awning and it monitors the amount of movement the outside beam of the awning is experiencing and not wind speed.

The small black one should be for your door awning if it is a dometic.

The black remote works the two main awnings together and the door awning separately.

Also, not a good idea to keep the white remote in your pocket! 😃
