new tires

I need to replace all six tires on my mountain-aire motorhome and buying Michelin or Dunlap would break my piggy bank. Has anyone had any experience with Koryo tires , I read that they are used on bus'es and trucks with good results? . Our motorhome gets very little use and tires don't wear out they just get old and need replaced. THANKS

I don't think any motorhome tires ever wear out, we all replace them due to age. I would not get bargain brand tires but stick with premium brands. I had Yokohama on my previous coach. Regional tires will take more abuse but line-haul will provide a better ride.

I have only had experience with Goodyear & Michelin. As you know, most RV tires age out (9 years from date of Mfg,) before they wear out. I see a lot of Koyo's on buses. As long as they are the same size & ply I won't be afraid to try them. How much cheaper than Michelin's are they?

Don't forget that bus and long distance truck tires are not designed to last 10 years. Most of them are replaced due to wear in the first year or two.

kbucks2, If you use the FMCA fleet discount program you will save on Michelins, also I have a phased replacement program buying 2 per year and putting the 2 newest on front and moving the older ones back so that the oldest are always on the tag which has the least stress. It's worked for me so far.

x2 on the FMCA fleet tire program with Michelin. You will save much more than the entry fee to FMCA.

Don't forget that some places will give you a credit for your old tires. Loves gave me $75 for each of my tires even though they were 6 years old, but they had a lot of tread left.
