Pick up Power ?
First of all, I like to welcome U to this super friendly RV forum....
You got a Motorhome and not a PORSCHE, so - the speed is a bit slow, but U get used to it... The engine will last a long time. I would not fiddle with it.... let the Driver get used to the speed..
RVgreetings

Have you checked the air intake/vacuum restriction gauge? (The air filter may be restricting airflow if its too dirty)
How was your fuel mileage on the highway?
Any black or excessive smoke while under heavy load vs normal driving?
Does it start easily after sitting for a few days?

Hi bpdenny,
Welcome to iRV2 and the Newmar family of owners. Not knowing your experience with a diesel engine or driving a diesel powered truck, there may be nothing wrong with the engine or drive train. If you remain concerned, there are may Cummins authorized service centers where you can have the engine checked out. There are also after market devices one can add to the engine to improve performance. Some of these vendors are sponsors of iRV2. Redlands, Bazel's, Banks, etc. can increase the power of your engine.
Before doing any after market products, consider having the engine checked out by a Cummins Service center.
Good luck and post here on your RV adventures.

I will return MH to dealer and let him check other item's and do a tune-up.

This is true and maybe my problem & not the PORSCHE. My concern is on small hills unit would lose speed of 5 to 7 mph. I agree I must get adjusted to a DP.
Thanks

I have no personal experience with any of the aftermarket vendors mentioned in my post. My recommendation is based on a trend of positive feedback, on this forum, from those who have installed these products.
