New to us 2000 MAdp 4064

Hi all. We just purchased a new to us 2000 MADP 4064 Spartan with 48K miles. We pick it up 5/1/13.

007 I sure could use some documentation/user manuals...
Been lurking on iRV2 for several years doing our research, its really been a great resource.

Mike, Becky Gianni and 2 multi-poos.

We did the same thing last year on a 2000 MADP 4080. Check the front ball joints for cracked boots and play. Enjoy your new rig! The ISC 350 is a great motor in this vintage of coach.

Is that a Gunney?

We bought a 2001 Newmar in Vermont in January. Been working my way through it. Salt is a factor in the NE. for sure. New radiator and charge air cooler. Almost ready to travel.

Thanks, looking forward to the first weekend in it. The unit was owned by one of the best diesel tech's in the area and was stored inside for the winters. The dealer I purchased from did a complete inspection and prep. They replaced the steering stabilizer and house batteries, I'll ask them about the ball joints tomorrow.
Thanks.
Mike

Be sure to take a tour of your roof for dried out seams and caulking around vent area's some have done some good jobs of sealing them up with E-Bond tape.

Seems like only the 12,000# axles had the ball joint cover problems. We have a 14,600# axle under our DSDP and the ball joint seals are fine.

Rig is good, we stayed in a local cg Wednesday and set the unit up. We found a couple of small issues that I fixed myself.
We hit the road this morning to go down to southren NH for a ham radio event, about 250 miles. The MADP ran great, it seemed a little sluggish, athough I am used to a 50 event,(about 0hp diesel 3500 dodge so most everything feels slow.
