New to us Motorhome
Hi all:
We just purchased a 2005 Newmar (for some reason I have been saying Newell - Yea in my dreams) Dutch Star 3810 and will take delivery from Independence RV in Florida in a week or so. Although we are not new to Rving this will be our first motorhome and will be fulltiming. We just sold our home and can't wait to start our new life style. This has been a 5 year plan that has finally come to pass.
Anyway, just wanted to say Hi and I am sure my wife and I will be posting many questions concerning this new to us "Beast."
Happy Travels.

Welcome to iRV2 and congratulations on your new RV. You are on right site for getting good info and help with your new toy. First suggestion, make sure you have the dealer/seller explain and demonstrate all the various systems when you pick it up. First, to make sure they work as advertised, and second, so you have a clue what they do and how you take advantage of them. And third, make sure the manuals and maintenance records are included. Happy trails to you in the next chapter of your life.

Congrats. Independence has a 2007 Mountain Aire 3778 I have been eyeing, but alas they are a long way from home. Would be interested in hearing about your buying experience with them.

Hi vettenuts,
We purchased our Ventana from Independence. We custom ordered it in July and took delivery about a month ago. Throughout the entire process, Independence RV, and in particular our salesman, David Scott bent over backwards to answer questions, keep us updated on the build status and so on. We had shopped at four other RV dealers in Florida prior to going with them.
I have no hesitation in suggesting you make contact with them and if the deal is what you are looking for, go for it.
Jim

Vettenuts:
We pick up the motorhome next week (12/7/13) and I will be able to better let you know how the process went. So far we have liked our experience with Independence RV. Mark Starner was our Salesperson and we also like him very much. He seemed very knowledgeable.

Thanks for all the responses, didn't want to take over your thread though. I am in New England but it is good to know I could take some initiative on the phone and then go down there.
