Newmar 2903 solar question

I have a 2016 2903 and planning on installing a 250 watt panel, 37 volt, 8.5 amp. I need some suggestions on the placement. I did run the solar connector wiring down the vent and into the electrical area in the bathroom but that can be changed. Also where is a good place for the inverter? I plan to use a victron charge controller.

My solar charge controller is located in the bay right near my inverter. It's a clean area.

How did you route the wires to that bay?

The wires from the solar panels are run down the vent for the absorption refrigerator.

In general, you want your inverter to be close to the batteries. A 1,000 watt inverter will pull 100 amps at full load which will require big wire or even bigger if it is more than a few feet away.

I have 2 170 watt GoPower panels mounted on the left front corner of the roof. Since I have Renogy LiFePo Smart Batteries with the RJ-45 connectors on the top. They are not water proof, I moved my batteries to the compartment behind the right front tire. My Victron MPPT 100/50 and 500A smart Shunt in the same compartment. Discount Solar in Quartzite were able to route the cables down behind the refrigerator under the cabinets to the compartment. I can add more panels if needed. So far, I am back to 100% charge by 10 am when boondocking. I have not run the heater too often yet.

Excellent, I am down the chimney, so to speak, so tomorrow it's horizontal to the front bay!
