Question Newmar Equalizer Systems leveling problem

Our problem isn't covered in the manual's troubleshooting section and it is too late to call the service department, so I thought I would ask here.

We followed the leveling procedure: parking brake on, engine ignition on, Power button to the leveler pushed on, press the Auto Level button. What should have happened after the jacks deployed was a double chime, the operational light goes out, after which you turn the Power button off. What actually happened after the jacks deployed was no double chime, the jack LEDs continued flashing red, and no matter how often I pushed the Power button it would not turn off. When we retracted the jacks, the Power button would turn off. Any ideas what is going on?

On my 2014 Canyon Star, after leveling I need to turn the ignition off and then press "POWER" on the jack control panel to extinguish the lights on that panel. Does that work for you?

Also, I don't recall a double chime when it finishes leveling, just a single longer beep.

Perhaps the instructions you are referencing are out of date. Are you having functional problems with the jacks, or just trying to understand why their operation is different than the manual?
