Newmar Factory
I happen to be in Indiana. If I decide to just drive to and visit the factory is that allowed? I assume I can buy wiper blades, etc. Is there anything else there to see or do?

Visitors are welcome.
You can camp in the Newmar campground.
There is a customer parts counter, customer lounge and there are factory tours.
The Owners club, the Newmar Country Club has a lounge and office.

If time allows, go to the Dutch Kitchen for breakfast or lunch. It is about a block from Newmar property. It is something to remember.

I had to do the tour several times to try to keep my weight down after a few days eating at the Dutch Kitchen an at Amish Acres. If you are into seeing how things are made, the Newmar tour is great.

Nappanee is a quiet little Amish town that rolls up the sidewalks at 5PM, as they say.
Right up the road is Elkhart with many restaurants and the RV Museum.

All of the above comments are good. Try to spend some time in Amish country. It was a delight for us to see how all people really should be so far as work ethic and simplicity. Drive around a loop from Shipshewanna, Goshen, Elkhart, etc.
Oh, and don't forget the Haystack breakfast at one of the places mentioned above. Don't ask, just order it.

Ham --
Be sure to take the Newmar factory tour -- should be two of them daily now -- at 10:00 a.m and 1:00 p.m. You will remember it always.
We also like a little restaurant in downtown Nappanee called, I think, Athens Gyros and Dinor. It is terrific! Best gyros with cucumber sauce that we have ever had anywhere, bar none. We have had breakfast, lunch and dinner -- all fabulous and incredibly reasonable -- like everything in Nappanee. And if you happen to need to go to a grocery store, you can't beat Martin's, east of Newmar through town on Route 6. Get there in the morning and get the best and freshest custard filled long johns for 66 cents each!!
At the Amish Museum right down the street from Camp Newmar, be sure to check out the peacocks strutting around the grounds, especially at dusk. A real treat.
A great trip. Have fun!!!

Look out for the kids driving buggies! Just like teens driving cars, they do run stop lights and signs. I about got one one day.
Interesting to see the buggies parked outside the store, Amish man in front of me pays with a debit/credit card, loads his stuff into a buggy and away they go.
